We had a team meeting the 1st of december. Björn, Daniel, Malin, Elina, Love, Hanna, Jonas, Åke, Henrik. Two of these, Love and Jonas, are not ordinary members of the team and came just for this occasion as the agenda was of interest.
We discussed the article “Sustainably Unpersuaded “ by Brynjarsdottir, Håkansson, Pierce, Baumer, DiSalvo, Sengers.
Daniel, Björn and Henrik had read the article critically and wished to discuss the article.
Most agreed that the article is of interest for the sustainability-team and that the it is critical towards how the research within persuasion is done. Some participants think that the research is to individually focused and the issue of sustainability is more of a governmental issue.
Several participants thought the issue of modernism which is the researchers main criticism against persuasion techniques is a bit misleading.
A main issue is however; who has the agency for change in order to save the world?
